Established in
December
of 2002 by Carrie Ann Sterrett and Link Furrow, Project Energia
Buran includes a diverse assortment of artistically - minded
individuals united in the pursuit of promoting creative self -
expression & positive social changes in the rural areas of
Northwestern Virginia.
Painting,
photography,
writing, and mutually supporting the endeavors of one another
comprise the
shared passions of the members of PEB.
Artwork of many
different formats is most certainly
the
foundation of
Project
Energia
Buran; our collaborative interest in addressing relevant societal
issues is what
distinguishes PEB from the mere pursuit of financial profit.
Carrie
and I opened theenergystorm.com in October of 2003. As the webmaster, I
feel that collectively, being the group of modern thinkers &
activists that we are,
that we should all take pride in persisting amidst the often faddish
world of the
Internet.
With
each passing year of online existence, the commitment of PEB as an
organization is clearly
demonstrated towards
both our members and towards our shared social causes.
This Information Index
is meant to further clarify what is hoped to
be accomplished over time through our collaboration's efforts. It
is my desire that each of us continue to better understand the long
term artistic aspirations of each other; it is that collective
consciousness among us which serves as the core foundation of
PEB.
During the course of 2010, I would very
much like to foster more
frequent e-mail communication among all of us that are a part of
PEB.
Thanks to a recent inspiring idea from co -
founder Carrie Ann, the
coming months shall be a time of constructing
extension portals on several social networking sites for PEB, and it is
my hope as the webmaster that having an official presence, so to speak,
on several other sites may draw in more visitors to the experience
of theenergystorm.com.
Only time shall tell the outcome of our
efforts to expand our virtual
presence, and I am quite optimistic about 2010.
Thanks again for you virtual visit!
